Polavaram Irrigation Project (PIP), Andhra Pradesh

The above irrigation project has been declared a National Project. The Water Resources Department (WRD) of Andhra Government is the Executing Agency for Polavaram Irrigation Project (PIP). Timebound Construction of around 1.1 km long concrete spillway was started in 2016 for discharging PMF of about 50 lakh cusecs. Given stringent timelines, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of AP monitored project progress on a regular basis. The Project was suffering delays on various accounts initially and there was an urgent requirement for expediting the Project.

  • Project Planning monitoring, cost tracking, preparation & appraisal of construction progress during weekly meetings with CM & Polavaram Project Authority.
  • Discussion & Coordination with ENC & WRD team and Central Water Commission, Delhi for Design approval.

Within a short span of time, during 2016-18, iValue’s technical support and site team commitment ensured revival in project construction activities of contractor through preparation of a comprehensive work plan in line with the budgeted time & cost, induction of specialist sub-contractors and resolution of legacy issues. Despite induction of a new principal contractor, iValue’s association with the project went on at the behest of the stake holders & State Govt., a fact that endorses the significant contribution made by iValue.
